Experience Deep Relaxation with Vibroacoustic Therapy – Coming November 2024

At Spa Manzanita, we’re always searching for innovative ways to enhance your wellness journey. We are excited to introduce our newest offering—Vibroacoustic Therapy using the inHarmony Vibroacoustic table, a state-of-the-art system that combines sound and vibration to promote deep relaxation, rejuvenate the body, and elevate your overall well-being.

What is Vibroacoustic Therapy?

Vibroacoustic therapy uses sound waves and vibrations to deliver therapeutic effects directly to your body, creating harmonic resonance, where the body aligns with the sound frequency. As you lie on the table, soothing low-frequency sound waves flow through you, and the body responds, helping you enter a state of deep relaxation.

Research shows that combining music and vibration in this way can enhance the body’s ability to relax and recover by positively affecting your autonomic nervous system, helping you stay calm and balanced throughout the day.

The Benefits of Vibroacoustic Therapy

  • Deep Relaxation: The inHarmony Vibroacoustic table helps calm the nervous system, reducing stress and anxiety while promoting a deep state of relaxation.
  • Muscle Recovery: It can assist in relieving muscle tension and supporting recovery after physical activities or workouts.
  • Mental Clarity: Vibroacoustic therapy improves focus and mental clarity by helping you achieve a meditative state.
  • Enhanced Physical Activation: This therapy stimulates the body’s sympathetic nervous system, giving you a gentle boost of energy while encouraging relaxation.

When to Avoid Vibroacoustic Therapy

Vibroacoustic therapy (VAT) is generally considered safe for most people, but there are some important contraindications and precautions to be aware of. VAT should be avoided or approached with caution in individuals with the following conditions:

  1. Pacemakers or Implantable Devices: Vibroacoustic therapy is not recommended for people with pacemakers or other implantable devices, as the vibrations may interfere with their functioning
  2. Epilepsy: Since vibrations can potentially trigger seizures in sensitive individuals, VAT is typically contraindicated for those with epilepsy
  3. Pregnancy: Pregnant women are advised against using VAT, particularly in direct body contact modes like the vibroacoustic mat, as the vibrations may have unknown effects on pregnancy
  4. Blood Clots (Thrombosis): VAT should not be used by individuals with a history of blood clots or conditions like deep vein thrombosis (DVT), as vibrations could dislodge a clot
  5. Recent Surgery or Acute Injuries: Individuals who have recently undergone surgery or have acute injuries, especially with open wounds, should avoid VAT until they are fully healed
  6. Severe Heart Conditions: Patients with heart conditions, especially those who have experienced a recent heart attack, should avoid vibroacoustic therapy unless under medical supervision
  7. Open Wounds: Vibrations can potentially disrupt the healing process or cause discomfort around the affected area. This applies to recent surgeries or any condition where the skin is broken or healing. It is recommended to avoid VAT until the wounds have fully healed to prevent complications or irritation.

It’s always recommended that individuals consult with their healthcare provider if they have any underlying medical conditions before undergoing vibroacoustic therapy.
